Exact phrase: combining words using inverted commas

Sometimes you want to search for an exact word combination.

Word combinations or whole sentences can be put between inverted commas. This combination or sentence must then appear exactly as it is in the document you are looking for. This is very useful when you are searching for a name or a compound term.

Watch out! You can miss out on articles that are about your subject. For example, you search for the exact word combination

“daycare Leeuwarden”

With this combination you will not find articles about

“daycare in the suburbs of Leeuwarden”

You will find these articles when you search for

daycare AND Leeuwarden

You can also specify that search terms should appear within a certain distance from each other.
